Actually , the Modi government has approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission . The Government led by PM Narendra Modi taken the decision to form the 8th Pay commission at a time when the dearness allowance of central employees and pensioners has increased to 53% .
Central Employees and pensioners were expecting this relief for a long time , However , till now whatever questions were raised in the Parliament regarding the implementation of new pay commission, the government was seen talking about not bringing any such proposal but now suddenly the government has given a gift to the central employees by clearing the way for implementing 8th Pay Commission
On Thursday, Central Information & Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed about the decisions taken in the central Cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi . He said that in the meeting, a decision taken to form a new pay commission .
This Commission will submit its report by next year , i.e. 2026.Talking about the further process ,after getting the approval of the Central Cabinet , the 8th Pay Commission will now be consulted with the State Government and PSUs . Along with this, the names of the Chairman and two members of the 8thPay commission will also be announced soon.
7th Pay Commission was Implemented in 2016.
if we look at the history related to the Pay Commission, it has changed every 10 years . Before 7th Pay Commission , it has changed every 10 years. Before 7th Pay Commission, the tenure of 4th , 5th and 6th Pay Commissions was also 10 years .
Now if we talk about the current 7th Pay Commission, it was implemented in 2016 and its 10 years will be completed in December 2025, but before this the government has taken a big decision and given green signal to the formation of 8th Pay Commission.
